Biografia
La poetica di Ross, nome d’arte di Rosella Maspero, cofondatrice del Centro Leonardo da Vinci ed esponente dell’Avanguardia del Metateismo, si connette direttamente al suo percorso di formatrice e, in particolare, al metodo di ricerca da lei creato, il Metacoach, basato sull’utilizzo dell’arte come mezzo privilegiato per interrompere l’incantesimo ipertecnologico del postmoderno a favore di una rimodulazione in senso umanistico della tecnologia e del suo utilizzo.
Strumenti elettivi della sua arte sono installazioni e performance che la critica ha definito “rappresentazioni dell’interiorità umana”, sottolineando la loro tensione comunicativa fra il piano visibile dell’installazione e il richiamo ad una sensibilità tutta sovrasensibile.
Le installazioni di Ross sono state esposte in varie edizioni del Festival del Nuovo Rinascimento. Fra di esse, “Dis-Cover yourself”, “La nuova grande madre”, “Medioevo tecnologico”, presentato al pubblico nell’edizione 2020, dedicata a “Raffaello 500”, e, da ultimo, “Changing Mood”, performance e installazione site specific presentata alla Rassegna d’Arte contemporanea “I colori della bellezza” (2025).
Ross, the artistic name of Rosella Maspero, is a co-founder of the Leonardo da Vinci Center and a representative of the Metateism Avant-garde. Her poetics directly connects to her path as an educator and, in particular, to the research method she created, the Metacoach, based on using art as a privileged means to interrupt the hypertechnological spell of postmodernism in favor of a humanistic remodulation of technology and its use.
The primary tools of her art are installations and performances that critics have defined as “representations of human interiority,” emphasizing their communicative tension between the visible plane of the installation and the appeal to an entirely supersensible sensitivity.
Ross’s installations have been exhibited in various editions of the New Renaissance Festival. Among them, “Dis-Cover yourself”, “The new great mother”, “Technological Middle Ages”, presented to the public in the 2020 edition, dedicated to “Raphael 500”, and, most recently, “Changing Mood”, performance and site specific installation presented at the International Art Exhibition “The colors of beauty” (2025).

Per Ross, il progetto umano più urgente consiste nel recupero di un rapporto autentico con la natura, sempre più devastata dalle scelte scellerate in cui l’uomo contemporaneo pare inesorabilmente ricadere. Il ripristino del legame con la natura non è, tuttavia, soltanto un fattore di razionalità socio-politica: esso si staglia, primariamente, come connessione vitale, psicologica e spirituale, con gli abissi del cosmo – cui noi stessi siamo legati perché ne già da sempre sua parte costitutiva.
L’installazione “Re-membering Nature” intende indurre il pubblico a una riflessione su tale tematica. Realizzata mediante una ricomposizione creativa – a suo modo, “ecologica” – dei precedenti progetti “Changing Mood” e “Discover Yourself”, l’installazione offre uno spazio di riflessione sui nostri ricordi (forse inconsci) di come il rapporto menzionato possa essere intensificato e vivificato, tramite processi di riscoperta, negoziazione, mutamento prospettico. Abbandonando, anche solo per un attimo, le cover digitali e impegnandosi in un percorso sapienziale volto a “dis-cover” noi stessi, diviene possibile incontrare la bellezza creativa e progettuale del mondo naturale.

For Ross, the most urgent human project is to recover an authentic relationship with nature, increasingly devastated by the reckless choices into which contemporary humanity seems inexorably to fall. The restoration of this bond with nature, however, is not merely a matter of socio-political rationality: it emerges primarily as a vital, psychological, and spiritual connection with the depths of the cosmos – to which we ourselves are bound, as we have always already been part of it.
The installation “Re-membering Nature” aims to prompt the audience to reflect on this theme. Created through a creative recomposition – “ecological” in its own way – of the previous projects “Changing Mood” and “Discover Yourself”, the installation offers a space for reflecting on our (perhaps unconscious) memories of how this relationship might be intensified and vitalized through processes of rediscovery, negotiation, and shifts in perspective. By setting aside, even if only for a moment, our digital “covers” and engaging in a meaningful process of “dis-covering” ourselves, it becomes possible to encounter the creative and generative beauty of the natural world.
